What To Do:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Sift into a big bowl:
1-1/4 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon cardamom
1 teaspoon cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon salt
Add 3 cups oatmeal to the flour mixture, and mix well.
Beat together in another bowl:
1/2 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup milk
1-1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Add the sugar mixture to the flour mixture.
Stir until all ingredients are moist.
Stir in 1 cup raisins and 1/2 cup walnuts.
Drop mixture by spoonful onto greased cookie sheets.
Bake 8-12 minutes. Makes 40 cookies.

Wow! Your oatmeal raisin cookies look really good! Were they as delicious as they look? You girls sure look like you were having fun making them. I'm so proud of you both. Hey, it won't be long before Baby Pauly can help you taste your recipes!! I sure had a lot of fun on Thanksgiving. Your Mama's bisquits were super duper delicious. The hearts were especially pretty. You'll have to learn how to make them pretty soon. The next time you come over, we should make one of your recipes. Let me know which one you want to make so I can make sure I have the ingridients.
